Our vision is to create and support a network of foster care homes for children needing a safe place to land during transition, either back home or long-term foster home. In accomplishing this, we are building a community of support around foster families. In the winter of 2017, God began to stir in our hearts a desire to find a creative way to remedy the growing shortfall of foster care homes in our community. We believe that together, we can make a difference.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27

Life Verse: Jeremiah 33:3
"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
He, the Lord, continues to do so as we entrust NHFF's to Him to do the Great + Mighty!
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Husband, father of three. He spent years in foster care as a child and knows what it is like to be pulled from all that one knows and to be placed in the unknown. Kenny wants to see families restored and made healthy and whole by the grace of God. New Hope FOR Families is place where this can take place.
A born and raised Duluthian, a daughter of Christ, with a dedication to community development.
Emily has an inherit passion for serving her community, specifically children. This passion flourished throughout her life, exponentially during her college career where she pursued an undergraduate degree from The College of Saint Scholastica’s Global, Cultural and Language Studies program. Her devotion to Duluth kept her within the community to complete her MBA. Her hope for her role within NHFF is to not only serve the children in need through Christ, but to also implement her business background to ensure that this ministry will be successful and sustainable for generations. In her free time, you can find Emily painting, running the boardwalk, singing, or at the dog park with her two dogs, Hudson and Harper.
Follower of Jesus, wife to Joe, mother to four, caregiver to her mother-in-law and server. She is also a native Duluthian who is serving on the board as a concerned citizen.
MEET OUR FAMILIES!
HEATHER + CHASE
Almost seven years ago Heather laid aside a life long dream to run an orphanage in Africa to pursue a strong call to care for children in crisis right here in her own back yard, St. Louis County. Their hope is to help children avoid the added trauma of realizing that there's no one who can or will accept them after they've just been removed from their families. Heather and her husband Chase are now a licensed foster care family and encouraging others to join them on this journey- providing love and security to children in need of hope.
TOM + NICOLE
Parents of three. The past six months may best be described by the word “transition”. After 13.5 years of serving as pastor in a small rural church, God began stirring our family into transition mode. At the end of September, Tom stepped into the director position at ProLife Ministries of Duluth. This has its own beautiful story of coming full circle with Tom’s heart for the preborn growing in passion. They have aligned themselves with New Hope FOR Families and have been in the process of being licensed as foster parents.
