About the Event
The Circle of Security-Parenting™ (COSP) Program is a widely used, research-based approach designed to help caregivers understand and meet the attachment needs of children in their care. While originally created for parents, the program works equally well for grandparents, foster parents, nannies, extended family, and other caregivers.
Through this abridged class, participants will learn to:
Shift focus from changing behaviors through rewards and punishments to understanding behaviors as communication of needs.
Respond sensitively to children’s cues.
Gain insight into their own caregiving responses and attachment patterns.
Build more confident relationships with children, fostering cooperation, compliance, and emotional security.
